Our Phenomenal Literary Icon, Dr. Maya Angelou has ascended to the heavens.

Her beautiful spirit remains near and dear to our hearts.

Each of us must utilize the messages emparted by her to enrich our lives and the lives of others. She was a gift to us, now we must use the nuggets of knowledge that she provided, to spring forth a new beginning to correct our paths and proceed towards what was meant for each of us.

Although we feel sadness, we must remember to rejoice for the heavens have truly welcomed home a dear angel.

Tyler Perry's upcoming film, Single Mom's Club is reportedly going to become a new series on the OWN Network. The film is based on the life of a group of single moms from different walks of life, who are brought together due to an incident at their children's school.

Terry Crews, Na Long, Amy Smart, and a host of other talented actors and actresses will appear in the film.

A new cast will appear in the series when it is presented in the Fall. 

This will be the fourth scripted series added to OWN Network.

A Deeper Love Inside is the much anticipated sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever by the best-selling author Sister Souljah.

Recently, Sister Souljah and Will Smith visited Temple University in Philadelphia to attend a discussion on love. She also shared some insight on the new book and revealed why she felt it was time to give readers what they have been wanting.

Bestselling Author, James Patterson along with the Little Brown Company are donating 200,000 hardcover books to U.S. Troops.

Patterson and Little Brown Company have teamed up with Operation Gratitude, Books for Heroes, the Peerless Bookstore and Feed the Children to distribute a number of the author's titles to military members stationed in the U.S. and Afghanistan, according to a Hatchette Book Group press release.

The troops will get to choose from "Tick Tock", "Private", and "I, Alex Cross," among other Patterson thrillers.

“Every day the men and women of our Armed Forces sacrifice themselves on our behalf," Patterson said in the release, "I can’t think of a more deserving group to receive this gift, and I hope that this gesture shows how big our gratitude truly is.”

Nobel Laureate, Toni Morrison recently appeared at Oberlin College presenting her latest novel, Home. While there at the college she revealed to her fans that she has decided to cancel her memoir. Stating that she arrived at this decision because, "there's a point at which your life is not interesting."

Morrison, now 81 years old prefers to write fiction.
